TP10 Insulation Board

Our Kingspan TP10 Insulation Board is a high-quality premium product. Available in a variety of thicknesses designed for multiple applications including both commercial and residential, new or retrofit buildings. TP10 Insulation Boards can create a thermal envelope around your home, helping to create an environment meaning level temperatures with warmer winters and cooler summers. The more heat you prevent from escaping the building, the more money you will save on energy bills! Up to 30% of energy bills can be saved by installed the correct insulation into your residential or commercial building. Preventing heat loss can also have positive impacts on climate change by reducing global warming impacted by our heating every year.
TP10 Insulation Boards can be installed in a variety of applications including pitched roofs, masonry walls, flat roofs, solid floors and more.

TP10 Certifications:
Standard To BS EN 13165
Fire performance To BS EN 13501-1:2018, Euroclass RtF F
British Board of Agreement (BBA) Certification 14/5133
Recycled Content 0% (minimum) to BS EN ISO 14021

Kingspan TP10 PIR boards are made up off a fibre-free rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) core with composite foil facings bonded to each side. The boards are manufactured with low global warming potential (GWP) and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). When installed correctly the TP10 boards will have a lifespan that lasts for as long as the building does.
Each Kingspan Insulation Board is 2400mm by 1200mm and comes in a range of thicknesses from 20mm to 160mm with a coverage of 2.88m². TP10 boards have an incredible thermal conductivity of 0.022W/mK. The compressive strength of Thermapitch TP10 typically exceeds 140 kPa at 10% compression. See each board thickness and their thermal resistance below.

If you’re looking for an alternative product to TP10, Insulation Board stock Celotex Insulation Boards, this product that can be used as an equivalent to TP10. Each board is 2400mm by 1200mm with a coverage of 2.88m2 and a thermal conductivity of 0.022W/mK.

Can Kingspan TP10 be used in walls?

Yes! Although TP10 is a Thermapitch product, it is a versatile product and can also be installed into walls. This includes dwarf walls, timer frame applications, and solid walls. Other applications include attic floors, solid floors, dormer windows, flat ceilings, flat roofs, and tiles or slated pitched roofs.

Can you leave Kingspan outside?

TP10 boards should be stored in a flat, dry area, off the ground and away from sources of mechanical damage or ignition. If stored outside the boards should be completely covered with waterproof sheeting. No excess weight should be applied on top of the boards to avoid damage.

Is Kingspan TP10 the same as TF70?

The TP10, TF70, and TW55 boards are all 2.4m x 1.2m with a coverage of 2.88m2. All of the boards hold a thermal conductivity of 0.022W/mK and the same thermal resistance. Although the boards are designed for the below methods of applications, due to the exact likeness of the boards any of the boards can be substituted for the other. For example, if you could not get TP10 for a pitched roof, TW55 can be used as an alternative product.

Available for three different applications:
Kingspan Thermapitch TP10 is suitable for tiled or slated pitched warm roof spaces.
Kingspan Thermafloor TF70 is used to insulate solid concrete and suspended timber ground floors.
Kingspan Thermawall TW55 is used to insulate timber and steel framing systems. Can be used between studs or as an insulating sheathing.

How to cut Thermapitch (TP10) PIR Insulation Boards

The boards should be measured and marked to size and cut using a fine-toothed saw. Cutting the board on a high flat surface will give room for the saw to go through the board. The board can also be cut by scoring one side of the board with a sharp knife and snapping over a hard edge. The other side of the board can then be scored.

How to install Kingspan TP10 into a pitched roof

The board should first be measured and cut to size. The spaces between the rafters may differ so the board should be cut to fill each individual space. The thickness of the boards should be based on the rafter depth.
Once the boards are the correct size they can simply be pushed back into the space until the board sits flush with the rafters with no protrusions. This should be repeated until all cavities are full. If two boards are joined, they should be closely butted together, and joins overlapped with foil tape.
The roof can then be completed depending on the use of space.
Insulation boards or insulated plasterboards can then be laid horizontally over the insulation and fixed to the rafters using the required fixings. If using insulated plasterboards, the wall can then be skimmed, taped, and decorated using either paint or wallpaper. This is perfect for converting your attic into a room-in-the-roof space.
If the insulation is installed simply to prevent heat loss in the roof, the insulation boards can be taped at the joins and left without decoration. Remember, if applying insulation boards, plasterboards can be fixed to the boards at a later date should you decide to decorate the area.
