Order Rights

We have the right to cancel any order. No order is fulfilled without our confirmation of delivery.

Delivery Requirements (Site & Residential Addresses) – PLEASE READ

By placing an order with Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations Ltd, you agree to make sure that there will be sufficient people on-site to help offload your delivery or there must be mechanical offload on site. If you require a Moffett offload, please make us aware in the notes at checkout when placing your order.
Nearly all deliveries will be made on a large side curtain boxed lorry, they are a very similar size to a double-decker bus. If your delivery is down a tight road that is not suitable for a HGV please make us aware in the notes when placing the order online. If you have clicked yes to confirm your road is suitable for HGV but we cannot deliver due to the driver not being able to get to the property if there is road / access restrictions then £100+vat is chargeable as a failed delivery. Please see notes regarding failed deliveries and cancelled orders.

Delivery & Returns Policy 

Any products that are NOT 2-3 working days are classed as a special order as we have to order directly with the manufacture, these items are non-refundable and non-cancellable.

In the event that you should need to return an order or part of an order please contact our office on the day of your delivery. Any requests to return any goods after this time may not be considered. All returns are subject to a minimum of a 30% restocking fee & minimum £100+vat collection carriage charge, Collections are around 3-5 working days.

Whilst we will always try to help with any problems regarding your order, we cannot be held responsible for any incorrect orders in terms of the materials ordered or quantity ordered by you the customer, any amendments after the order has been placed will incur a £35+vat admin fee.

Rockwool, Kingspan and Isomass products are non-cancellable and therefore non-refundable. Please make sure that your order quantities etc are correct before placing and paying for your order.

For all other items, if you choose to cancel, a minimum cancellation fee of £100 plus VAT will be charged. It is important to keep in mind that orders for special items cannot be refunded for example (Kingspan / Rockwool / Isomass) this is due to us ordering in direct from the manufacturer. This also includes ALL PALLETISED items, for example pallets of Knauf Rocksilk RS45 or Pallets of Isover CWS32 150mm.

Due to high demands and manufacturers’ allocation, most orders placed from Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations Ltd will be classed as a special order. (Please see the below special order policy details).

Any refunds will take up to 14 working days to be processed.

Please note delivery is not available in some parts of Scotland. Generally, orders placed for delivery withing a 10 mile radius of Glasgow & Edinburgh are considered to be ok in most instances (as long as there is HGV access). All other areas in Scotland above Glasgow & Edinburgh are out of our delivery areas. When placing your order, if the postcode is not accepted on checkout this means we do not deliver to this area. If unsure please call our office on 0800 246 5131.

We deliver to UK mainland only. This excludes Northern Ireland, Scottish isles & British isles.

Please note, we cannot amend or cancel your order the day before your order is due out. If you wish to cancel at this stage, then a minimum of £100+VAT fee is applicable.

Damaged Items

Upon delivery of the goods, it is the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect the products for any damage or discrepancies.

The customer must be present at the delivery address at the time of delivery to receive and inspect the goods.

If the customer is not available at the delivery address on the agreed delivery date and time, a failed delivery fee of £100+VAT shall be charged to cover delivery and administrative costs.

In the event that the customer discovers any damage or incorrect items upon inspection at the point of delivery, they must immediately inform Insulation Board Office (0800 246 5131)) with your order number when on site with the driver. Any damaged products should not be accepted at the point of delivery by the customer until you have spoken with Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations Ltd. If a damaged item is agreed by Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations at the point of delivery then the damaged item should be sent back with the driver and not kept on site. Any items kept on site will not be considered for any refunds or partial refunds. Please do not sign for your goods until you have fully inspected your delivery.

Failure to report damages or discrepancies at the point of delivery will result in the presumption that the goods were delivered in an acceptable condition, and the customer may not be eligible for a refund or replacement. If you have damaged or missing items please contact Insulation Board on (0800 246 5131) with your order number to report damaged or discrepancies whilst the driver is on site. As the drivers we use are mostly couriers please DO NOT make the driver aware of any damages this MUST be reported to Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations ONLY. Delivery drivers do not have any authority to make any decisions regarding damaged goods or discrepancies. Any reports of damaged goods or missing items after the driver has left site cannot be considered for any refunds or partial refunds.

Delivery times will vary depending on the product and your location. Standard delivery is 2-3 working days on average. Any tight access delivery addresses that require the use of a van or smaller lorry than our standard 26 or 32 tonne ridged lorry, please allow extra time for your order to be delivered. Special items can take longer (please see estimated delivery times on product pages). After we receive your order, we will contact you to arrange delivery with you – for more details call our telephone or use our live chat service.

Please note, we do not accept orders from the British Isles such as the isle of man and the isle of wight etc.

When placing an order with Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulation Ltd, you are agreeing that you have made sufficient arrangements for your delivery such as, the necessary amount of people onsite, or a mechanical offload onsite to help unload and receive your order as we only offer kerbside delivery.

If a Moffett offload should be required, please make sure you have made us aware in the delivery section when placing your order.

Most of our deliveries are made on a large side curtain boxed lorry. Please ensure our vehicles will have sufficient room to fit down the delivery address road. When placing your order, please make us aware of hard to access areas in our deliver section.

If we feel we cannot gain access to your delivery address, we will let you know within 12 hours of your order being placed, however, we cannot be held accountable if the driver cannot deliver due to no HGV access. If we cannot deliver due to the driver being unable to gain access to the property, then a charge of £100+vat will be applied due to failed delivery.

If a delivery is made to the site and no one is available to accept the order, the driver will return your order and a member of our team will be in contact to arrange a new delivery date. To redeliver on the re-arranged day there will be a minimum charge of £100+VAT. If an order is cancelled after a failed attempt to deliver, there will be an additional £100+vat cancellation fee & restocking fees as mentioned above.

When purchasing items please ask if there is a re-stocking fee. Some products are made to order and are non-refundable. Please see below our Special Order Policy.

Most of our delivers will be very cooperative and willing to help you with your order, please be polite and respectful and they will do their best to ensure a smooth delivery process.

Special Order Policy

At Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations Ltd we offer Special Orders to ensure products are specially made to provide the best suit for your specific project, therefore these items are not stocked in our warehouses and are ordered directly with the manufacturer. When placing a special order, please be 100% certain they are the correct materials for your project, as this is made to order, unfortunately the order will be non-refundable & non-returnable. All Kingspan, Rockwool, Isomass & palletised items are non, refundable and non-cancellable, therefore are non-refundable. Due to these items being made to order there are generally longer lead times.

Special orders are also likely to have longer delivery times. We will always give you an approximate lead time for your products. Although not often, the lead time can vary due to the unfortunate problem the UK faces with building materials & driver shortages.

We at Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations Ltd will always do our utmost to make sure that your order is delivered on the expected delivery date and will keep you up to date along the entire process. We cannot be held responsible for any claims due to late deliveries.

Fraud Prevention

Insulation Board Trading under Trade Insulations Ltd are committed to protecting our customers from fraudulent activity. If by any chance your order is flagged by our fraud prevention team, we have the right to hold or suspend your order until the four required documents below can be provided for checks. –

1. UK Drivers licence / Photo ID
2. Copy of utility bill
3. Company registration number (if applicable)
4. Office/Landline number

If you receive an email from Trade Insulations requesting these documents, please make sure you send the required documents in a timely manner. If no action is taken within 24 hours from our email to request information, it is assumed that this is a possible fraudulent transaction and will be reported to the relevant bank for further action. Any cancelled orders before sending documentation may incur an admin fee.
