Additionally, the use of spacesaver loft roll can improve the thermal and energy efficiency of a property. Furthermore, this helps contribute to tackling climate change and global warming. This is because less energy is required to heat a home when loft insulation is correctly installed.

Isover Loft Roll is suitable for the applications below.

  • Pitched Roof – Between and Over Joists
  • Flat Roof – Between Joists
  • Ground Floor Suspended Timber – Between Joists

How to install 100mm Isover Loft Roll

100mm Isover Loft roll should be laid down between each rafter in the loft. The cavity for the loft rollers should be 400mm or 600mm. If two rolls need to be combined, they should be closely butted together. The rolls can be cut to size when necessary.
Use a long instrument like a broom or plank of wood to make sure the rolls are firmly pressed into nooks and crevices that are difficult to reach.
The loft roll between the rafters should be covered with a second layer. This is to be applied vertically if the first layer was horizontal and vice versa. The thickness of the combined loft rolls must be at least 270mm. The insulation installation is finished after all of the rafters in the loft area are covered.
When in a loft, it is advised that you use crawl boards so you can move around securely and comfortably. Don’t forget to keep the insulation away from the heat-generating components. This includes recessed lighting fixtures as well. Non-combustible downlight protection covers should be installed to further limit fire risks.
Please be aware it is advised to hire a professional tradesmen before installing loft insulation in your home to prevent structural damage.

How to store Isover Spacesaver Loft Roll?

Knauf Loft Roll must be stored dry and indoors. If there is no other choice, keep the packs off the ground and covered, although we do not advise outdoor storage. When it’s feasible, keep the loft rolls properly maintained to prevent quality loss from harsh weather conditions. Maintaining the loft roll’s original covering will assist in product protection.

How are Isover Loft Rolls manufactured?

Loft rolls are produced from mineral wool and fibreglass. Another name for fibreglass, which has excellent insulating properties is glass wool. To make fibreglass wool, fine glass and sand fibres are heated. Once melted, they are spun through an extremely fine mesh. Binding material is added before chilling the mixture to give it a texture like wool. The material combination is then heated again and calendared to provide it stability and strength. This unique manufacturing process traps pockets of air between the glass. The air pockets enable the product to achieve excellent thermal performance.
