Kingspan Therma

The Kingspan Therma insulation range consists of a selection of insulation boards with a fibre-free rigid thermoset Polyisocyanurate (PIR) core with low emissivity foil facings autohesively bonded to each side. The Kingspan Therma range is suitable for variety of construction projects of all sizes and difficulties due to their versatile nature, lightweight design, thermal performance, and ease of installation. Kingspan Thermal is a well-used insulation material among builders and architects within the traditional and modern construction industry for all building types.

The Benefits of the Kingspan Therma Range

  • High-performance, reliable, and long-lasting insulation material
  • Therma materials are easy to cut and work around particularly when cutting to fit around tricky details in comparison to other insulants
  • Ideal for new builds, refurbishments, and extensions and a variety of application types
  • Unaffected by air infiltration and resistant to the passage of water vapour
  • The fibre-free insulation materials are sustainable and safe to use reducing energy waste and environmental impacts
  • A low thermal conductivity of just 0.022W/mK will ensure the Therma insulation boards provide superior performance by significantly reducing heat loss
  • Therma insulation products will bring long term savings on monthly energy bills
  • Where you are insulating the walls, roof, or floors, the Kingspan Therma range will have a solution for each application
  • The low emissivity foil facings will enhance the thermal resistance of the boards

Therma Range Applications

The Therma range can be applied to a wide range of applications including flat and tapered roofs, tiled and slated pitched roofs, stud walls, timber frame and steel frame walls, solid concrete floors, and suspended ground floors.

Kingspan Therma – Same Performance, Different Names

The Therma range insulation boards are dual branded under different names of TP10, TF70, and TW55. The product codes can be found on the side of the boards and in some cases on the board facings. Essentially the range of TP10, TF70, and TW55 boards consist of the exact same boards with the only difference being the boards are manufactured under different codes. This is reflected in the specifications below where you can see there is no difference between the Kingspan Thermapitch, Thermafloor, and Thermaroof insulation boards other than the printed name.

Kingspan TP10 – Thermapitch 10

The Kingspan TP10 insulation boards are available on our website. The boards are 2400mm x 1200mm with thicknesses ranging from 20mm to 150mm with a thermal conductivity of just 0.022W/mK.

Kingspan TW55 – Thermawall 55

The Thermawall TW55 insulation boards available on our website are 2400mm by 1200mm in dimensions. The thicknesses range from 20mm to 150mm. These boards have a thermal conductivity of just 0.022W/mK.

Kingspan TF70 – Thermafloor 70

The Kingspan Thermafloor TF70 insulation boards are 2400mmx1200mm in dimensions. These are available in thicknesses between 20mm and 150mm and have a thermal conductivity of just 0.022W/mK.

Why does the Kingspan Therma range use different names?

Kingspan uses product codes to help architects in identifying the required PIR insulation boards. Architects can make an order and be sure they have ordered enough for the roof, walls, and floors, and differentiate the areas that require insulation. When the products arrive architects can be separated by name to ensure there is enough for the project.

Kingspan Therma Range FAQs

Can I Insulate my Loft with Kingspan Therma?

Yes, The Kingspan Therma products TW55, TF70, and TP10 can be installed between the rafters within the roof space of the loft. The Therma insulation boards can simply be cut to size using a sharp blade or saw and friction fit between the rafters in the roof or between rafters in the attic floor. The Therma range is a great option particularly when creating a room in the roof.

What is Better than Kingspan Therma?

Kingspan is a leading manufacturer within the insulation and construction industry. If you require a better insulation material than the Kingspan Therma range, check out the Kingspan Kooltherm products. The Kingspan Kooltherm range has one of the best thermal conductivities when it comes to insulation within the construction industry and is made of high-quality durable insulation materials.

What is the Difference between Kingspan TP10, TF70, and TW55?

The only different between the Thermapitch, Thermafloor, and Thermawall is that they are certified under different codes. These boards are part of the Therma range and simply put, general purpose boards, with branded facings to help when ensuring you have ordered enough insulation for each application when working on a major project.

What is the compressive Strength of TF70?

The compressive stress of Thermafloor insulation TF70 exceeds 140kPa at 10% compression. This is also the same compressive strength as the TP10 and TW55 boards.

What is the difference between Kingspan Kooltherm and Kingspan Therma?

The Kingspan Kooltherm insulation materials are made up of a phenolic core and a thermal conductivity of 0.019W/mK whilst the Therma insulation materials are made up of a Polyisocyanurate (PIR) core and a thermal conductivity of 0.022W/mK. Essentially the Kooltherm range has a lower thermal conductivity. The lower the thermal conductivity, the better the insulation, however this is reflected in the piece of the materials.
